2018 Fall Mini Sessions

It is FINALLY time for Fall Mini Sessions! I am so excited to announce my dates for my 2018 Fall Mini Sessions. In the past, I have had mini sessions all throughout the months of October – December. This year, because of my schedule, I am only offering 3 dates for Fall Mini Sessions. Fall Mini Sessions are the perfect time for updated family portraits. The images from these sessions will be great for Christmas Cards too! These sessions are also perfect for couples, children, and anyone who wants or needs updated head-shots! Because no props will be available for these quick sessions, babies must be able to sit up on their on or be held to be photographed.

Mini sessions are quick sessions that will be in 15-20 minute increments. You will receive 10 digital images with the option to purchase more. Listed below are the dates and locations for this year’s Fall Mini Sessions.

Saturday, October 6th – From 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm in Downtown Jackson

Saturday, November 10th – From 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at Flowood Nature Park

Sunday, November 11th –  From 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Flowood Nature Park

If you are interested in booking a session this year, please contact me for more detailed information regarding pricing and available times. I look forward to working with new and returning clients again this year!

Jennifer & Roy | A Downtown Engagement Session in Jackson, MS

Jennifer & Roy were the real MVP’s during Saturday’s engagement session! We had the perfect weather right up until it was time for our shoot to begin. Our plans quickly changed when heavy rain and thunderstorms began. At the last minute, we moved our session into The Westin Hotel in Downtown Jackson and began our session there. After the rain ended, we decided take pictures outside of the hotel and around some of the beautiful structures within the area. As the sun was beginning to set, we took some nighttime photos which I really LOVE! I have always been known for my natural light, sunset portraits, but it was so much fun shooting at night with this gorgeous couple and utilizing the natural ambiance from the downtown lights. Here are just a few of my favorites from Jennifer & Roy’s downtown engagement session!

Jennifer & Henry | A Downtown Jackson Engagement Session

Last Friday, Jennifer and Henry traveled from Texas to Jackson, MS, to meet with wedding vendors and to mark “take engagement photos” off of their wedding to-do list! Even though the day started off cloudy and ended in heavy thunderstorms, that did not stop us from having an amazing downtown engagement session! When I first talked to Henry & Jennifer, I knew they would be the perfect couple to work with. Meeting them both in person definitely confirmed what I already knew. Below are a few of my favorites from their engagement session! We started the engagement session at an outdoor location and ended it at one of my favorite hotels – The Westin Jackson. I cannot wait to photograph this sweet couple again next summer!

The Mukoro Family | A Summer Family Session at the Town of Livingston

Last Thursday, I had an amazing family session with The Mukoro family again! The Mukoro family is the sweetest and I have loved having the opportunity to photograph them. Quincy and his wife Christina make the photography sessions so easy because they are such a laid back and fun loving couple. The family session was taken at the Town of Livingston, which was suggested by Christina. I love this area for photography sessions because of the old town feel that it has. One of my favorite parts of this family session was taking photos inside the candy store. Below are a few of my favorites from their family session!

Mr. & Mrs. Cox | A Southern Elopement

Let me start by saying how much I love intimate Elopements! It is something about being surrounded by your closest family & friends that you truly love. Last Friday, I had the pleasure of photographing my second intimate elopement of 2018 in Brandon, Mississippi. Rochelle & Tyler had the sweetest backyard ceremony, and I am so happy I was able to capture some special moments for them. We started with an intimate first look and then went to the perfect location in the neighborhood for formal portraits before heading back to the home for the ceremony. I loved the ceremony decor, which consisted of sunflowers, baby’s breath, and bales of hay for the guest to sit on! Here are some of my favorites from Mr. & Mrs. Cox’s elopement!

Mr. & Mrs. Stallworth | A Summer Wedding at The Cotton Market Venue

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Stallworth! Deborah & Aaron had THE perfect summer wedding at the Cotton Market Venue in Richland, Mississippi. I first met Deborah & Aaron last November when I photographed their engagement session. I knew from first meeting them that they were two genuinely nice people in love!

Deborah and Aaron’s wedding was decorated beautifully with touches of purple, gray, and white florals and decor. I even fell in love with Deborah’s fresh floral bouquet and flower wall! Deborah and Aaron had so many family and friends who traveled near and far to celebrate their holy union. Aaron’s father was actually the one who ministered their wedding! I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been able to document this special wedding for such a very special couple. Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day!
