Mr. & Mrs. Philpot | A Breathtaking Memorial Day Wedding

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Philpot! The ceremony was held at The Vault Venue in Brandon, MS on Memorial Day! Firenza & Lessie had one of the sweetest ceremonies that I have witnessed. I loved that they were such a spiritually filled couple who loved the Lord! Firenza & Lessie met while attending Rust College, but they did not date until years later. They stated in their vows that they believed that the Lord made them for each other, and I could not have agreed more! 

I LOVED that Firenza & Lessie decided to do a First Look on their wedding day! Their first look was so special, and I loved seeing their reactions of seeing each other for the very first time. I am so happy that they decided to partake in this intimate moment before the ceremony. Immediately after the first look, Firenza & Lessie had their bride & groom portraits taken. The groom is actually a photographer himself, and he told me he did not like being in front of the camera, but by looking at these pictures, you would not believe it! They are literally perfect! 

During the ceremony, the guest enjoyed the sounds of an amazing professional violinist. I loved how he incorporated contemporary music with the classical sounds of the violin. Being a music teacher, I must say he was phenomenal! If I were a guest, I probably would have started moving & grooving to the music! Once the violist was finished, the honorary bridesmaids were seated as the drummers drummed. As the bride made her grand entrance, I looked behind me and noticed that the groom had tears in his eyes. Yes, they saw each other beforehand, but they were still quite emotional during the actual ceremony. Having a first look does not change those feelings. 

After the ceremony, the couple had a lovely reception that was exquisitely decorated by the fabulous Tonia Sims of TLS Weddings & Design. During the reception, the bride & groom shared their first dance together as well as how their love story began. The guest enjoyed a delicious catered meal by Godfrey’s Catering and ended with dancing & toasting by family. I am so happy I was able to capture this amazing wedding!
